CLASS IV HIGH POWER LASER THERAPY- A Revolutionary Advancement in the Management of Acute and Chronic Pain

The science and field of therapeutic laser medicine has been around for approximately 30 years. Lasers are often equated with just surgical procedures, however, technological advancements led to the introduction of lasers for therapeutic value. Therapeutic lasers have been found to have a biological effect that is photochemical not thermal, as is the case with surgical lasers, and bio-stimulate injured and abnormal tissue. Until recently, the only therapeutic lasers available in the US have been low level cold lasers (Class III) and these have provided some limited clinical benefits. Currently available in the US and approved by the FDA is what is classified as a High Power Therapeutic Laser (Class IV) which delivers much higher power resulting in significantly improved clinical outcomes. Many acute and chronic conditions may be improved or eliminated with these types of lasers including arthritis, neck & back injuries, herniated discs, sciatica (leg pain), shoulder pain, rotator cuff tear, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle & ligament tears, hip & knee pain, sprains/strains, pain following surgery, nerve associated pain, plantar fasciitis, bunion pain, non-healing wounds and many more. Dr. Barold utilizes this revolutionary High Power Laser Therapy in his office for the management of acute and chronic pain.
